The Senior Associate in our Canadian Business Tax group works with privately held and entrepreneurial businesses to deliver high-quality tax compliance, and advisory services. This role is ideal for someone with a Masters degree in tax or accounting, or someone with an accounting designation who is developing strong technical skills, comfortable managing portions of engagements, and is ready to take on greater responsibility for client service and junior staff supervision within a public practice firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and prepare tax compliance and advisory work for Canadian corporate tax clients.
- Assist in identifying issues and developing practical solutions for clients.
- Act as a day-to-day contact for clients on assigned files, responding to questions in a timely, professional manner.
- Build strong working relationships with client management teams.
- Proactively communicate progress and issues to Managers and Partners.
- Stay current with Canadian tax legislation and administrative changes.
- Support Managers and Partners in research and technical analysis as required.
- Supervise and coach junior team members on engagements.

Qualifications
- Masters degree in Tax or Accounting, or an accounting designation (or in the final stages of the program) with 3–4 years of experience in a client service role.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Effective time management and ability to handle multiple assignments.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a client-service mindset.
- Demonstrated initiative and interest in progressing toward a management role.
