We are delighted to announce that two of our Calgary colleagues, Tax Specialist Angie Feng and Senior Tax Specialist Jina Min have successfully completed their CPA exams. This is a major milestone and a successful grade is a key requirement to becoming a Chartered Professional Accountant. While the exam was in September, the results were just announced this morning. This is exam is not a “walk in the park.” To get this far, each candidate must go through a rigorous two year graduate level program. That educational journey culminates in sitting for a three day exam which tests for technical competencies in:
- Financial reporting
- Management accounting
- Strategy and governance
- Audit and assurance
- Corporate finance
- Taxation
It also seeks to establish enabling competencies in:
- Acting ethically and demonstrating professional values
- Leading
- Collaborating
- Managing self
- Adding value
- Solving problems and making decisions
- Communicating
Angie and Jina, your achievements deserves to be celebrated. Our sincere congratulations on a job well done. Apparently 2020 is not all bad!
