Senior Tax Services Support (Calgary)

The Role

Andersen LLP is seeking a full-time Senior Tax Services Support team member to join our Calgary office. Reporting directly to a member of the tax team, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our tax department and providing outstanding customer service to our clients.

Duties

  • Working independently and as a key team member to support the Tax team for all Service Lines to produce high quality client deliverables
  • Entering client data and updating projects using our practice management software
  • Taking initiative to self-assign tasks from tax request system
  • Managing electronic and paper-based client files in compliance with Firm standards
  • Organizing and saving signed tax documents
  • Processing confidential material and preparing routine client correspondence.
  • Drafting invoices and client engagement letters
  • Scanning client documents
  • Provide enhanced support for the tax team in their data entry tasks and ensure thorough verification of their results
  • Tax package assembly and submission to tax authorities
  • Communicating with clients regarding deliverables
  • Assisting with managing incoming and outgoing mail/courier packages for client materials
  • Assisting with entries and reporting in the CRM system
  • Other related duties as required

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of administrative experience (experience in a professional services firm is helpful)
  • Strong proficiency using technology, including Microsoft Suite, Adobe PDF software, SharePoint, and database management
  • Familiarity with CCH Axcess, CCH iFirm, and electronic filing processes are an asset
  • A positive and enthusiastic individual who works well independently and as part of a team

  • Ability to multi-task and handle various demands during busy periods, including season overtime as required

Additional requirements/information for applicants

  • High speed internet connection to work effectively from home
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in Canada

Andersen is a hybrid work environment.  This position will require the successful candidate to be present in the office 3 – 5 days per week depending on the workload and time of year. There will be times when overtime will be required, especially around tax deadlines.
