Derick Manroop is a Director in Tax Incentives and Government Funding at Andersen Canada, based in the Montreal office.

Derick has over 18 years of professional experience in tax incentives and government funding. He has helped clients secure Canadian government funding to support R&D, innovation, growth, workforce development, market expansion, and sustainability.

Before joining Andersen Canada, Derick worked at Big 4 accounting firms, assisting clients across a wide range of sectors, including information technology, gaming, fintech, advanced manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, mining, and telecommunications. His work helped clients leverage funding measures to accelerate innovation, drive competitiveness, and stay at the forefront of their respective industries. Additionally, Derick spent seven years in the aerospace industry as a Manager of R&D Programs, where he managed complex funding collaboration programs involving multiple partners, including industry, academia, and government.

Derick holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in electrical engineering from McGill University.
